Sumo God
Flying Sorrow

Workshops where Bollywood movement, Hindu mythology, and Jungian depth psychology meet — and the body becomes a living map of longing, instinct, and transformation.

↓ scroll into the body

These workshops weave together Bollywood movement, Hindu mythology, and Jungian depth psychology to explore the symbolic language of the body. Each session centers on a mythic figure, archetype, or story — not as something distant or devotional, but as a living map of human emotion, instinct, longing, and transformation.

Together, we shine a lantern on a specific body part — the wrists, the pelvis, the chest, the eyes, the spine — and examine how the myth invites it to move in a particular way.

What happens to the shoulders in the presence of Durga? What does Kali ask of the jaw, the breath, the feet? How does Radha hold the pelvis as a sacred vessel?

Through Bollywood music and movement, mythology becomes embodied rather than merely understood. Gesture, rhythm, expression, and repetition become pathways into the unconscious. The body begins to reveal inherited stories, protective patterns, hidden desires, and forgotten instincts.

II. Archetypes in the body

Each myth, a map drawn across muscle and breath.

We don't perform mythology perfectly. We let it move through us — disrupt us, soften us, awaken us.

Durga — The Shoulders

The Shoulders

Durga

Ungrounded shoulders collapse the thoracic spine. Durga asks them to rise without bracing — to bear the world without becoming it.

Kali — The Jaw, the Breath, the Feet

The Jaw, the Breath, the Feet

Kali

What does Kali ask of the jaw? To unclench. Of the breath? To roar. Of the feet? To stamp until the false self leaves the room.

Saraswati — The Wrists

The Wrists

Saraswati

Wrists like reeds, like ink, like the hush before a question. The river gesture that lets thought become music.

Radha — The Pelvis

The Pelvis

Radha

Radha carries a clay pot, reminding us that the pelvis is a sacred vessel; when it feels unstable, it is gently seeking the steadiness where breath, creativity, and devotion can gather.

III. Practice

Dance is not choreography alone.

It is excavation. Ritual. Imagination. Return.
Bollywood becomes both celebration and inquiry — a vibrant, emotional language through which the psyche can speak.

01

Excavation

We unearth patterns of thought and movement — the inherited postures, the protective armor, the hidden desire.

02

Ritual

Gesture and rhythm as offering. Repetition until meaning surfaces and the unconscious begins to speak in the limbs.

03

Return

We do not leave the myth behind. We carry it home in the wrists, the pelvis, the gaze.

IV. The circle

Allow the archetype
to move through you.

New workshops are gathering. Leave a name, a wrist, a longing — we'll send the next invitation.
